PROMPT: As he waited for the shower to warm, he noticed that he could hear water change temperature.

He began to wonder if the water temperature was changing, which led him to wonder if the shower had changed.

“W-what’s going on?”

The giant man on the throne said nothing. He merely stared at his watch. Scythe’s body was on its knees, trembling. The spider was dead silent, still, for the first time in its life. It knew that it should run, but the spider wasn’t sure how to get to the other side.

“Scythe!” Scythe yelled as he ran to the giant man.

“Nu-huh?”

The giant man froze. He looked around and saw Scythe running towards him. The giant man turned around and saw a spider.

“Oh!” The giant man screamed. He was about to charge at the spider, but a voice stopped him.

“Curse you, curse you!”

The giant man turned to see the man with the dark hair running towards him. The man’s white hair was colored black and his hair was the color of black ink.

“My dear friend. We know each other. How could I not remember you? Where has this been all my life?”

“Please. I’m begging you. Curse you! Curse you! Curse you!”

The man was panting, shouting. He didn’t even seem to be breathing, but the words came out of his mouth.

“I’m begging you. Curse you! Curse you! Curse you!”

The giant man was still panting. He looked at Scythe as if it was a monster he was supposed to hate.

“It’s all my fault. The curse… you know… it’s been so long since I’ve heard it.”

Scythe didn’t know what to say.

“A curse? So what? But I’ve seen you. I’ve heard you. And I have felt you. You’ve always been there for me. You’ve been the only friend I have, Scythe. If you’re going to be stuck in this curse, at least be the friend I can love, as I love you.”

The giant man was finally getting out of breath. Scythe heard his voice, but he didn’t understand what was happening.

“And if that’s not enough… I’ve loved you. I’ve loved you from the very moment you were born. I’ve loved you through your terrible fate. I’ve loved you with all my heart, and I know that you never would have existed if it wasn’t for me. You are everything I had ever wanted. You are everything I love. You are everything that I am. Even when you’ve been my enemy, when you’ve hurt me, when you’ve even hated me, you’ve never left me. I will always be your friend, and I will always be your lover. And I will always love you.”

The giant man was bawling now, yelling, shouting at the top of his lungs. He was gasping for air.

“Scythe!” Scythe yelled. He reached out to the giant man, but the giant man only growled at him, while taking small bites out of a spider.

Scythe began to panic. What if the spider bit him? He began to rush towards the giant man, but the giant man’s body kept moving, as if it was alive.

“Curse you. Curse you. Curse you. Curse you!”

The giant man stood up and took a step forward.

Scythe jumped backwards, but the giant man didn’t stop moving.

“Curse you! Curse you! Curse you!”

The giant man took a step forward, still screaming. He pointed his sword at Scythe, who just stood there, paralyzed.

“I’m… I’m sorry. I… I didn’t mean to kill you. I-it was my fault.”

“You should have come back earlier.”

“I did come back. I wanted to kill you, but I didn’t. I couldn’t have. It was too late.”

“Please, forgive me. I’m sorry for what I did. I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused. I’m sorry for what I’ve done.”

“You did no such thing.”

The giant man took a few steps closer.

“Scythe, you are nothing. You are nothing. You are nothing! You are nothing!”

“Please. I want to forgive you.”

“I cannot forgive you. You are nothing.”

“I… I…”

“I cannot forgive you.”

The giant man was getting closer to Scythe.

“I… I can’t… I can’t forgive
