The gods killed you because you gave me breadcrumbs

PROMPT: Craig woke up early one morning with only one thought in his mind. "I want to go the park." He hurriedly dressed, making sure to grab the bag full of breadcrumbs off the counter. Shortly after Craig reached the park, he came across a large goose. The goose looked at him menacingly, and Craig feared for his life. Suddenly, the goose charged.

In an instant, Craig was on the ground. The goose knelt down, and opened its mouth. Craig was terrified. The goose gulped his face down and went back to its feeding ground. The goose then released Craig. The goose circled around and rested on his shoulders, watching him. Craig looked at the goose, at his arm, at his face.

He asked the goose “What happened?“. The goose replied, “The gods killed you because you gave me breadcrumbs”. Craig told the goose he needed the breadcrumbs, but the goose replied, “I didn’t kill you, you killed yourself.” The Goose said, “Why are you crying? We will never come back.” Craig said, “If we don’t come back, we will never see our mother. This is like losing our parents at a young age.” The Goose said, “Our mother is somewhere in the sky, watching over us.”

Craig started to cry. The Goose went back to its feeding ground. Craig walked back to the Goose. “I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry, but I will not forget what I have done.” Craig then ran.

Craig reached the stone steps where the Goose lived. The Goose stopped him and said, “Come back. You need breadcrumbs.” Craig then rushed back to the Goose.

The Goose said, “I have heard of death and its day comes. I am in heaven now, and I will be watching over you.” Craig ran back to the Stone Steps. The Goose said, “I will not kill you. I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry.”

Craig said, “I can’t believe you. I’m sorry.” Craig returned to his home. Craig went into the garage, grabbed some toilet paper and stuffed it into his mouth. Craig ran into his room and came out crying. He ran out of his room, and onto the roof of the house. He took off his jacket and tied it around his neck, and then he walked out of his house, and out into the streets of Summerville.

After the Birdman ended his life, the crowd behind Craig ran after him. They dragged him to the car, and then started to throw gasoline on him. The car burst into flames, and the crowd left. After a couple hours, the body of the Gooseman was burnt beyond recognition. Moments later, the garbage truck had run over a child. The child’s screams were heard by all of Summerville.

Nightfall came, and the sky darkened. “What a night…” said Richard. Richard and his friends watched the sky light up with a strange light. “Why is the sky bright now?” asked Richard. “Could it be the Birdman’s final farewell?” Richard’s friends did not believe it.

When they tried to leave the town, they discovered that many of the houses had their windows boarded up. Night fell. Richard’s friends quickly exited the town.

“This is a terrible thing!” exclaimed Richard. “We must leave the town immediately.” “Okay…” said some of his friends. “I will take you back home.”

Richard was very upset by this. He chose to leave Summerville. When they drove past the entrance of the town, Richard turned the radio on.

“Didn’t the Gooseman try to kill you?” he asked. The radio played for a moment, and Richard and his friends were shocked to hear the voice of the Birdman.

“Richard! It’s me! The Gooseman!”

Richard was startled by the voice, and drove up to the village. Richard’s friends tried to pull Richard out of the car. Richard tried to flee, but his friends restrained him.

“Wait. I need some breadcrumbs.” said the Gooseman. Richard’s friends were frightened by the Gooseman’s actions, but Richard was relieved to find out he was a happy person. The Gooseman led Richard and his friends back to his house, and they began to cook. The Gooseman then said to his friends, “I love you all.”

Richard’s friends were amazed by the Gooseman’s words, and then they started to realize the truth about the Gooseman. Then, Richard’s friends realized they could all move in with the Gooseman. At the edge of the village, they met the Gooseman’s friends. They thought they were dead
